Free Chlorine:
Range: 0 to 10 ppm
Free chlorine is the active form of chlorine in the pool that disinfects and kills bacteria. Ideal range: 1.0 to 3.0 ppm for pools (higher if the pool is heavily used or exposed to heavy sun).
Total Chlorine:
Range: 0 to 10 ppm
Total chlorine includes both free chlorine and combined chlorine (chloramines). Combined chlorine is what can cause a "chlorine smell" and irritation. The ideal range is typically 1.0 to 3.0 ppm as well, but if the total chlorine is higher than free chlorine, it might indicate the presence of chloramines.
pH:
Range: 6.8 to 8.4
Ideal range: 7.2 to 7.8. Ensures chlorine effectiveness and keeps the water comfortable for swimmers.
Total Alkalinity:
Range: 0 to 240 ppm
Ideal range: 80 to 120 ppm. Helps buffer the pH and prevent swings in acidity or alkalinity.
Calcium Hardness:
Range: 0 to 600 ppm
Ideal range: 200 to 400 ppm. Helps maintain water balance and prevents corrosion or scaling.
Cyanuric Acid (CYA):
Range: 0 to 150 ppm
Ideal range: 30 to 50 ppm. Stabilizes chlorine and prevents it from breaking down too quickly under UV light.

AQUACHEK SILVERS
AquaChek CHLORINE 4-in-1 pool testing for free chlorine, pH, alkalinity. POOL TESTING is essential.

The AquaChek 4-in-1 Chlorine Test Strips are a convenient and reliable tool for maintaining balanced water chemistry in chlorinated pools and spas. These test strips measure four critical parameters

  • Free Chlorine: Ensures effective sanitation by indicating the active chlorine available to eliminate contaminants.

  • pH: Maintains water comfort and prevents corrosion or scaling by indicating the acidity or alkalinity of the water.

  • Total Alkalinity: Helps stabilize pH levels, preventing sudden fluctuations that can affect water clarity and comfort.

  • Cyanuric Acid (Stabilizer): Protects chlorine from degradation due to sunlight, prolonging its effectiveness

AquaChek Total Bromine bottle with key features and pool testing information.

AquaChek 4-in-1 Bromine test strips help you check if your spa or pool water is clean and safe when you use bromine (not chlorine).

🧪 What does it test?

  1. Bromine – Checks if there's enough to kill germs.

  2. pH – Tells you if the water is too acidic or too basic.

  3. Alkalinity – Helps keep pH steady.

  4. Hardness – Checks how much calcium is in the water (too much can cause scale).
