BIOGUARD CHEMICALS

What it does:
Raises the total alkalinity in your pool water
Why it's important:
Helps stabilise pH levels.
Prevents pH bounce caused by rain, bather load, or other chemicals.
Protects pool equipment from corrosion.
Prevents staining, plaster etching, or liner wrinkling.
What's in it:
100% sodium hydrogen carbonate (also known as sodium bicarbonate).
How to use it:
Test your pool water's total alkalinity.
Add the required amount directly to the pool water with the pump running.
Brush any undissolved granules off the pool surface.
Ideal total alkalinity range:
125–150 mg/L (ppm).
Safety tips:
Wear gloves and eye protection.
Store in a cool, dry place away from children and pets.
Do not mix with other chemicals.

What it does:
Raises the calcium hardness in your pool water. This helps stop damage to pool surfaces and equipment.
Why it's important:

Stops plaster from wearing away or getting rough.
Stops vinyl liners from wrinkling.
What it has:
Calcium chloride (a chemical to add calcium).
How to use it:
Test your pool water for calcium hardness (measured in mg/L or ppm).
Add the powder directly to your pool with the pump running.
Brush any powder left on the pool walls or floor so it dissolves faster.
Ideal calcium hardness:
Between 175 and 275 mg/L (ppm).
Safety tips:
Do not mix with water before adding—add dry powder directly.
Wait at least 15 minutes after adding before swimming.
Store safely out of reach of children and pets.

What's in it:
Contains 320 g/kg hydrochloric acid
How to use it:
Test your pool water to check pH and alkalinity levels.
Add the acid directly into the pool water with the pump running.
